TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RMA, WARRANTY, AND RETURNS
General Terms of Sale
Fleet Witness, situated at Unit 9 RAC Trading Estate, Park Rd, Faringdon SN7 7BP, specialises in electronic safety and solutions tailored for the commercial vehicle trade sector. Our range of electronic equipment necessitates careful handling and regular maintenance, with certain items also requiring periodic software updates.
Customers bear the responsibility of ensuring the full functionality of all equipment upon installation. Prior to departing our warehouse, Fleet Witness subjects all products to rigorous quality control assessments.
End-users are obligated to adhere to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines for equipment handling, maintenance, and software updates. Fleet Witness endeavours to provide software updates when feasible. It should be noted that Fleet Witness cannot be held responsible for equipment failures in cases where evidence does not substantiate compliance with the aforementioned handling, maintenance, and update requirements.
14 day no quibble refund policy and how to return
We offer a 14 day no quibble refund policy to all customers. This means you can return items you’ve purchased from us for any reason, so long as you return the goods unused and in unopened packaging and so long as you notify us within 14 days of receiving the item(s). Just contact us and then we can provide details for you to return your items, if the item is not faulty you will have to pay the cost of postage, otherwise we will cover the cost. Once we have received your returned items you’ll receive a prompt refund to the card you used for payment.
Damaged or faulty items
Should you notice any damage upon receiving your delivery, we kindly request that you refuse the delivery and contact us promptly to arrange a replacement.
If you discover damage after the delivery has been accepted, please inform us within 14 days by contacting our team. We will arrange the collection of your damaged items and provide you with a replacement or a refund, depending on your preference. In the case of a refund, it will cover the full amount to your original payment method, including any applicable delivery charges if the entire order is being refunded. We ask that you refrain from using the damaged items after the discovery of damage and that you keep them in the best possible condition, preferably in their original packaging.
Unwanted or incorrectly ordered items
If you have changed your mind and want to return all or part of your order please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will get in touch to arrange to collect the item(s) you want to return.
If you are returning your entire order we will refund the cost of your item(s) only. We will also deduct from your refund the cost of collecting the item(s). This cost will be advised when you notify us of your return. We will issue your refund promptly once your returned items have been received.
We ask that items you wish to return are unused and are packed in their original packaging or a suitable equivalent in order to keep them in good condition for re-sale.
Payment Terms
For Fleet Witness accounts, payment terms adhere to a strict 30-day period, unless alternative terms were established at the time of account creation. Ownership of goods remains with Fleet Witness until all outstanding payments are received in cleared funds, encompassing both the invoice value of specific goods and the aggregate invoice value of all goods provided to the customer by Fleet Witness.
Product Accessories
Product accessories encompass items such as remote controls, signal and power leads. Warranty claims pertaining to these accessories will be evaluated at the discretion of Fleet Witness Senior Management. Please note that damages incurred during installation or usage of accessories are not covered under the warranty agreement. Decisions made by Fleet Witness Senior Management concerning accessory claims are considered final. When initiating the return process, it is imperative that product accessories are returned and documented on the returns card.
Out of Warranty
If an item purchased from Fleet Witness is out of warranty, we may offer repair services for a fee. Customers will be required to send the item for evaluation at their own expense. Once evaluated, a repair price will be determined.
Advance Replacements
Upon agreement with Fleet Witness Senior Management, in accordance with our Warranty policy and your account terms, advance replacements can be dispatched for items believed to be faulty. Customers will be charged for the replacement, and a credit will be issued upon receipt of the faulty item and returns card, pending confirmation of the fault.
Please Note
If you are returning a camera that has been tampered with in an attempt to repair it yourself, please be aware that this action will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty, and we will be unable to provide a full refund. It is advisable to consult with us before attempting any self-repair.
In the case of hard-wiring your camera to a vehicle, we recommend enlisting the services of a fully qualified auto electrician, as this action may invalidate your car or camera warranty. Any damage to your camera resulting from hard-wiring may not qualify for a full refund. If you have any doubts, please reach out to us for guidance.
WARRANTY PROCEDURE

Once your request is made, and the return is agreed upon and authorised, we will email you your returns card(s), each with a unique job number, one for each item being returned. Please fill out the form with as much detail as possible.
Print and send the Returns Card along with your item, using the Returns label we provide with our address. Carriage costs are the sender’s responsibility. Items returned must be accompanied by an authorised return card; items received without a returns card may be returned at the sender’s expense.
NOTE: Items will not be accepted for return by Fleet Witness unless the full returns process has been followed and explicitly authorised. No items should be returned without prior authorisation.
